It looks to me like it was meant for use while sailing the label reads Joe Maisel Miami Beach. I think that the fabric is a cotton duck a lightweight cotton linen. It is unlined. The jacket has a narrow standing collar, does up with a heavy duty Talon metal zipper with circular pull ring, has drawstrings around the bottom, elasticized cuffs, has
