BYZANTINE RING, 8TH-10TH CENTURY AD, SIZE 6 3/4 6 3/4 1100-1500 ADGilt bronze, size 6 3 4 with 2. 4mm rounded face band and raised oval bezel with radials at the edges. That form is found on other Byzantine rings of the period and is probably a reference to the Wheel of Fortune and the Goddess Fortune who arbitrarily decides our fate. Surface textured from burial.
