Newer Models Had a Distributor Mounted Ignition amplifier and this base does not have those mounts so pretty much this is only applicable to 1986 / 1987 & older models

96273A6 was used with engines that had the cast coupler (round one that bolts directly flywheel studs) < That's what type this is

but not 100% accurate

One way to tell if you have this style of head or the older style of head is when the valve covers are attached by screws around the perimeters (old style) or bolted directly through the middle (newer style like this one)
